Cowart's Common Room
Riverbank Tales

We had a great day yesterday doing our version of Wind in the Willows directed by Fennie.

The one parameter completely out of his control - the weather - was almost perfect - brilliant sunshine most of the time and no rain at all.

There were laughs a-plenty and no tears at all not even from the smallest mouse.

The only casualty was Robert Rabbit (son, Lincoln) got bitten on the lip by an ant who was sharing his interval beer!

This is my granddaughter Joni as Cyril Stoat - more pictures in comments.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Oh yes, they were all brilliant, quite brilliant. But you won't appreciate quite the feeling of relief that it is over. The weasels sweltered a bit in their fur on what turned out to be the hottest day of the year in some parts. Am off now to help with the clearing up but will post more later and more pictures.

Re:
Faith's Avatar The photos are great, well done to all concerned. I must say W in the W is not my favourite story, and I only keep my copy of the book as my eldest sister gave it to me and my next sister. I was going to send it to the jumble then I saw she'd written the inscription 'For my two sweet sisters' so I felt guilty and kept it! 1960 that was - how time goes by!

Your production looks marvellous though - super pic of Joni.

Re:
Salle de Bain's Avatar What a lovely setting too...the photos are great, thanks for sharing. My sister's car is known as 'Mr Toad' ...poop - poop! Something to do with her driving skills probably (I didn't say that).
