How I conquered my fear

No, not of knitting! Laughing

FLYING. We make between 10 and 12 trips a year usually - I used to be fine, then I had a bad dream the night before a trip and then the plane (for real) had a problem and it scared the Bejeezus out of me and I have been a cot case ever since. A couple of drinks is great but not so good when you take the 7am flight regularly.... Rescue Remedy is good but not enought. Reading is ok but I still hear all these different sounds that the plane makes and I get distracted from it. So I bought an i-Pod Touch and I download rental movies onto it. Not only do I become quickly engrossed but the ear plugs mean I can't hear the engines making different noises etc AND a get to see all the movies I never made it to at the cinema, plus a great selection of Independants which are brilliant! Best money I ever spent! Very Happy

Mountainear's Avatar No fear of flying here (yet?) but a great wish not to be part of the cattle market that is modern travel. Find seat. Sit down. Plug into own world.
