Cowart's Common Room

Well normally the background view would be mountains...but the clouds are so low today they are hidden. I love this place...where you can either sit outside next to the cornfields...or hideaway in the orangery full of tree ferns and climbing plants. Lots of people come here just to sit, drink coffee and read....there's never a rush.

Today I watched the swallows gathering on the wires, drank coffee and wrote some was heaven.

Fennie's Avatar That's just like the garden we had in Essex next to a field of barley or sometimes sugarbeet. Wish we had swallows - but the swallows, martins, swifts are almost all gone. No insects anymore for them to eat.

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar Lovely. Everyone needs somewhere to retreat to and if it has a splendid view so much the better.

Salle de Bain's Avatar That's sad about the swallows Fennie...this year we only had House Martens at home...but 11 nests on the house in all. The air displays have been fab.

No wouldn't want to hear the poem..I'm rubbish at it.
