Cowart's Common Room
Time for a cuppa

It's pouring with rain here on the Preselis. Later Mr PM and I are off to watch the Olympic football quarter finals at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff. When I got the tickets I didn't know who would be playing of course. Now we know it's GB v Korea and I have been elevated to The Best Wife in The World.

I've never been to a footie match before (I'm more of a tennis, athletics or F1 girl.) I'll survive!

What's everyone else up to today?

Inthemud's Avatar Enjoy the game.
Not much into football myself, but my SiL is a volunteer at the Olympic football training ground at Eltham and has met some amazing players.

Me, I'm off to Tesco's...................

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar It's raining, so no gardening. Might go down to M & S after lunch. Still sorting stuff out after our return home. We have to go to the storage unit sometime and retrieve my winter! clothes.

Camilla's Avatar Good for you PM, I am not a football fan although like to cheer on GB.Smile Blue skies here but with lots of dark clouds looming, hopefully I will be able to catch up with the gardens weather permitting. Enjoy the game PM.

Vic's Avatar Enjoy the football. We have been sorting out daughter's bedroom (she's stayed in Dundee for the summer) as it was the tip from hell. Might even be in a position to decorate it in a couple of weeks time. It's taking ages to do as it is done between Olympics we want to watch. Just going to do Tesco shop online!

Cowgirl's Avatar Hope you had a great time - my great mate, Hazel in Manchester is an avid footie fan - City, not United - to the point where she and her Dad have permanent seats at the home ground (and he won't drive a red car!)Laughing

Pimsonthelawn's Avatar The match has gone to penalty shoot out, hope you all had a great time PM.

I am in Manchester Cowgirl, quite often see United players they train at the Marriott Hotel near by but we don't follow football at all.

Lily's Avatar Takes me back to my youth, many years ago when we lived in South Wales and used to go to floodlit rugby matches. Also as students to Cardiff Arms Park for internationals. And now a posh Millennium stadium...
