Cowart's Common Room
Olympics!

Am loving watching the Olympics. All these channels to choose from! I am the most unsporty person in the world but am well into these games. Other half is very sporty (stopped playing international/national badminton when he met me - must have been my charm!), so it's rubbed off on me over the years I guess. It's me that's on the edge of my seat though!

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Disappointment for Tom and his partner in the synchronised diving. I wish they would stop talking so much! I want to see more of the cross country, which they are going back to once they run out of gas!!

Re:
Lily's Avatar I was sorry Tom Daley + partner didn't get a medal. I feel sorry for the competitors when the media hype them up so much. Sort of counting medals before they're hatched to mix metaphors.

Vic, I'm not sporty either- hated all enforced games at school- except swimming- but am enjoying some of the 2012 events.

Shame on the organisers for all the empty seats when
athletes cannot get tickets for their relatives. Do wish Coe would accept there is a problem and sort it.

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Groan - sorry guys - but I am bored rigid by the Olympics and busy getting my own gold medal in avoiding watching anything to do with it . . . although I would like to see the tennis.

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar It isn't Coe's problem. It is the corporate people, sponsors etc who are not using seats that they were allocated and it is the Olympic organisers who are busy sorting it. I sounds as though the message is reaching the people who have them but are not using them and they are now becoming available.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Watched all of the men's gymnastics, brilliant that that all got a bronze medal for England, was thought at first it would have been a silver but the Japanese officials questioned for a replay for their own team and they got the silver instead.

Disappointing that Tom Daley and his partner did not bag the medal for the diving.

Re:
CalicoKate's Avatar Couldn't really be less sporty although I enjoy swimming, but am loving the Olympics to my surprise.Shocked Horses, gymnastics, everything to do with water, five mins of fencing, even the boxing round up and that is a sport I fail to understand! It would be so good to get a few more medals though. Come on Team GB!!
