Cowart's Common Room
Fruits of my Labour

There were days recently when I thought that all I wanted was a window box with plastic flowers in it, but the sun is out and I picked this lot this afternoon.

I sound a bit like that song

"Hello mother hello father, here I am at camp Granada"
( anyone remember it!)

Lily's Avatar Makes all the work worth while. Did you cook /preserve the currants? And yes I do vaguely remember that song.

Blossomcottage's Avatar At the moment I am munching my way through them fresh, might regret it of course later :)

Last year, I had 20lbs and made loads of jam.

Camilla's Avatar Lovely Blossom, nothing like growing your own to pick I say. Long time since I made home made jam, love it though.

Don't remember that song Blossom.

Fennie's Avatar What would happen if you mixed them and served them? I am thinking of bean flavoured jam, or maybe beans with blackcurrant sauce. Would that be a gastronomic cacophony or would that be quite nice? I once mixed coffee and tea in the same spirit of enquiry; but the taste was awful.
