Now that I have stopped being cross with B for bringing him home without telling me I think he is rather sweet. Other two cats not so sure!Rolling Eyes
He is about 12-18 mth old obviously still some growing to do as he has big feet and long legs.

Faith's Avatar Beautiful Bodkin! What lovely pale colouring he has! Where did B get him from?

CalicoKate's Avatar A cat sanctuary on the Isle of Seil (near Oban) He was a stray been there for a month or two and no-one claimed him. He is beautifully marked. B bought him as a 'surprise' present for me as I've not been happy recently but unfortunately it didn't go down very well, as I didn't want another cat just now and when we did get another I wanted an older cat! So this is nothing on my list of requirements. Having now stopped being cross and threatening to return him from whence he came, I rather like him. He has sat down for about 5 mins so far. Not scared of anything or timid or shy in anyway which is nice.

Withy Brook's Avatar I understand the situation. I once gave G a spaniel without consultation. A great mistake. She was lovely but untrainable.

Lily's Avatar What a lovely boy.
Withy, I once gave my mother a cat just after Dad had died. I thought it was a good idea as Dad had been talking about getting another cat. Mother was not pleased and we ended up keeping the cat ourselves. Worked out well as I'd wanted a cat for ages but thought it wasn't a good idea with our 2 dogs. However dogs and cat lived amicably so all was well.

Blackbird's Avatar He looks as if he will do his best to worm his way into your heart- he is a beauty.

Faith's Avatar The boyfriend of a girl I know gave her a tortoise as a surprise present. She was reasonably pleased at the time, but it involved a lot of extra expense for the tank etc they got to house him. Now the boyfriend is an ex, the girl is busy with her full time job/life and guess who looks after the tortoise - her mum!

Fairy Nuff's Avatar He seems to have found himself a cosy vantage point too.
I think he's a lucky boy to have ended up with you.

CalicoKate's Avatar He is a poppet and seems to be settling in very well. He even had 5/10 mins on my lap this afternoon. B has been forgiven!

Camilla's Avatar What a gorgeous cat Kate, beautiful markings and love his name too, a handsome fellow. He looks like he has made himself at home already with you, laying outstretched on knitted blanket on top of sofa. I know Bodkin will be dearly loved by you and your husband, he is a lucky boy to have you as his owners.
