Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Hello to the Owls,

Anyone been watching any tennis? saw the match with Andy Murray good to see he has won again in four sets, next one of course the semi's. Missed the Roger Federer match, know that he has got through too to the semi's. I was even wearing my white trainers, sadly no game of tennis for me, still remember happy days playing with my son many years ago on the tennis courts though, he won of course but then he has always been so competitive.Smile

The weather here in Norfolk has been so humid and muggy, as I type I have my trusty little electric fan going to cool me.

Son rang to say he had a lovely few days away in Bournemouth, they booked into a Hotel, sadly most days were rain.

My lovely gardener Willoughby arriving on Friday to prune the hedging for me, weather permitting I am hoping to catch up with potting all the Geraniums this weekend.

Just made a cuppa, see you later.... if there are any owls about.!

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar Oh, I wish I had a gardener called Willoughby. It sounds just perfect. Actually, I just wish I had a gardener. Laughing

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Hi Fennie, yes lots of rain here too, went out into the gardens this morning to mow, it desperately needs doing, only out there twenty mins and the heavens opened up, thunder and lightening too. Soon we will be living in an Ark with all this rain we have had this year.!

Oh lucky you Fennie, love Open Air Concerts, the tent will keep you dry, enjoy the moment, and hope you have taken a picnic and some bubbly, warm rugs too are cosy.Smile

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Hi Rosie, my gardener's name is not really Willoughby, that is the name I have given himSmile, his real name is Stewart, but he does look like the actor who plays Willoughby in the costume drama Sense and Sensibility. I told the gardener this, I said he would make a very good costume drama actor, he was chuffed to bits although slightly embarrassed.Smile

I only have my gardener come to help me twice a year with the pruning of the hedges Rosie, and the pruning of the budlihea bushes, these are too much for my old back.! The rest of the gardens like planting and mowing and weeding I usually do myself, although I have had some help with the first cut to my lawns after the winter.
