Cowart's Common Room
Suggestions please!

What to do on a rainy Bank Holiday?

The rain is torrential here so my plans for doing things outdoors are scuppered. (At least we are not having an Easter Break under canvas!)

I think I shall go and potter in the green house.

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar Well, I'm playing Scrabble online for starters and then I plan to finish making a loose cover for an IKEA sofa. Not everyone's cup of tea, I know, but you did ask . . .

Westerwitch's Avatar I am planning to print out my Fellowship panel for the RPS . . . but firstly having to sort out all the things I have lost when my laptop died . . . ie printer drivers and and print profiles for the art papers I use and now the print menu is totally different. I had got it exactly right with my lappy . . . now I have to start all over again.

Might watch a film this afternoon - light the fire - eat chocolates Very Happy

KitKatCot's Avatar No rain here but having a big spring clean. Clearing out old photos. I can't believe the number of fuzzy pics I've taken over the years. There was one interesting picture which himself discovered in his mothers pictures.......look at this....dated 1952 where is it? He knew at once, it is of the Falls of Dochart. Any one know where that isQuestion

Re:
KittyB's Avatar I pottered in the greenhouse - potted up some tree peony seedlings, celeriac, baptisia australis, and some dahlia tubers. Then lunch out and a lazy afternoon watching family films and knitting. Nice day, despite the rain!

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar My day didn't quite work out as planned. Just after lunch Fennie rang me. Would I like to join them in a trip to John Lewis in Cardiff as they were planning to look at some cookers there. Never one to pass up an opportunity for a spot of retail therapy I agreed. I also suggested that Fennie and J might like to come round for supper as I had a piece of lamb that was too large for the two of us.
Very pleasant afternoon and while the cooker selection was in progress I managed a few purchases of my own.
Then back home and a quick whip around with the vacuum cleaner and the preparation of supper for a convivial evening.
The sofa cover with have to wait.
