Cowart's Common Room
Owl Post

Welcome to the weekend!

I finally got outside in the garden without wind or rain and began the job of transplanting roses- it's like a race before they leaf out too much to move easily but it's been so cold this year so far that I have another week or so. Each year is so different. My son helped in the garden but he is distracted by the diminishing hours before the new quarter begins on Monday.

I'm in the middle of watching 'Midnight in Paris'- looking forward to seeing who is appearing next and enjoying the beautiful scenes, clothing and music. But, oh how they drank.

Sweet dreams, owls and larks.

Camilla's Avatar Hi Blackbird,

Yes, a HUGE THANK YOU dear Blackbird for posting for the owls, so very kind of you. I have just this minute managed to access the internet with my new broadband..... whoopie.!Very Happy I did miss it, I did it myself too with my son's talk through with it over the phone.... I am feeling very smug now.Very Happy

Love the flower pic BB, what is the name of the flower? I have just had a phone call from my dear friend to say that the man erecting new fence in her garden accidentally damaged all her prized Solomon Seal flowers she has had for years, they are ruined. She went to a garden nursery to discover that they cost 3.50 each and she had hundreds in her garden before, such a shame.

Best of luck with transplanting your Roses Blackbird, I adore Roses. Midnight in Paris sounds wonderful.!
