Cowart's Common Room
Very busy day

Today I have been:
a Builders mate - shovelled rubble, as dad jack hammered up the hearth - I'm not convinced he should be doing this yet but he seems happy!;
a Plumbers mate - dad and I solving a problem the *Plumber* couldn't, a perished rubber valve in my 1910 loo cistern;
a Painter - that's the first coat on the walls in our room;
and a carpenter - sanded the front door and removed all the ironmongery.
I was also a Very grubby person! Happily all is now clean and shiny and stuffed with dinner made by B.
Planning to do not a lot this evening.

What did you do today?

Faith's Avatar Well done CK - very productive! This morning I went to a jumble sale, and got some nice vintage items for resale to fund my Sindy addiction. Then a friend came over for lunch which we lingered over. Later on I unpacked and cleared up after my few days break, did washing etc and sorted out the doves, and this evening my husband treated me to a meal out at our favourite Italian restaurant. We like eating early and have just got backVery Happy

Camilla's Avatar Goodness Kate, you have been busy, very well done to you Kate.! I had a day of domesticity here, no gardening as it was raining most of the day. Just dusting, hoovering, tackled the laundry basket.... again. Cooked grilled haddock for evening meal and made light pancakes to put them in, a green salad tossed with lemon and olive oil.

Faith - your vintage shopping sounds fun at the jumble sale, love vintage.

Blackbird's Avatar What productive and fun days you all have had. I spent much of the day at my mother's, helping to introduce a new companion for her (didn't go easily) and I baked cardamon buns while I was there. Then some shopping, a trip to the library and spaghetti for dinner.

Fairy Nuff's Avatar Would it be cheeky to ask for a couple of photos of the work in progress?
Did you ever keep a bit of the old trendy 70s wallpaper to frame in the end?
