Cowart's Common Room
Tiggywinkle Update

I have been slightly slow off the mark in getting to call in to Tiggy before now. That bronchitis dose I had for most of late Jan and all Feb knocked me for six to be honest. However, today I was back on the shopping trail again [many thanks to YD and OH for doing the needful for me while I was off the case].

I called around to Tiggy, today, and was delighted to meet up with her. As always she was her usual elegant self. I had intended leaving in a little something for her from all of us, around Mother's day, but decided to go with the flow today instead.

I left in a card "Thinking of you" with a garden on the front of it that reminded me of our Tig's own lovely garden, and a Japanese Azalea, which should come into bloom within the next few weeks, on behalf of all of us. I took the liberty of signing on behalf of all her friends on the Coo [and Common Room]. I hope you don't think I over reached myself in doing so. However, we have all been so anxious over this lovely lady, thought gave rise to action and I ran with it.

I nearly went into the wrong garden, because there was a dog barking behind Tiggy's door and I didn't know she had a new lovely bundle of exuberant canine energy; however Tiggy herself answered the door. Unfortunately I couldn't stay long as YD was with me and she had a hot date tonight to get ready for. Still, put Tiggy and I together and we can chat for Ireland, I assure you we are prizewinning chatterers.

How does she look? Elegant as always in a lovely brown leather jacket and apple green polo-neck jumper and matching trousers. Tiggy is one lady who would make even hopsack look like pure linen. She looks frail, she has really been through the mill, but that wonderful indominable Tiggy spirit is alive and well and sparkling and dancing in her eyes. Knocked aside at present she might be, but our girl is on the way up. God keep her that way. As YD said to me after we drove away "I can see why you and she get on so well, she is one lovely lady".

What better comment to close this update on.

Ivy's Avatar Ah thank you for the update and thank you for the flower present on our behalf. So nice to know that she has a loving and caring "Coo representative" near her, watching over her.
Hoping you'll be back to your usual self soon too. Bronchitis is something not to be messed about with.

Tiggywinkle's Avatar I popped in to say Thank You all for the beautiful Azalea, to read this very flattering account of IE's visit. I was delighted to see you IE, and I am very amused at your gentil description of Snoopy, who is really badly behaved. I find him hard to train, but his facial expressions just melt my heart. The Azelea will be on the terrace, where I can enjoy its long flowering period. I always have the garden in great shape for Paddy's day, but this year it will have to wait like many things. I hope I won't get lazy!

I am coming along slowly but surely. No chance of my body allow itself to be pushed beyond its limits. I'm having the scan for the 2nd aneurysm on 26 March. In the meantime Thank you all again for your continued support which is much appreciated, and thank you IE.

Angel's Avatar Slightly late but just wanted to add my message of support. Lovely of Irish Eyes to keep us posted. And so pleased to hear you are making progress, Tiggy, even if it is slow.

From my own experiences I know it is frustrating when you don't feel you are making rapid progress, but that is nature's way and someone 'up there' is telling you to take things easy.
So make the most of it and keep dooing as you're told.

You know we are all here with you

Big hug
