Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Hello Owls,

Owls are outside twit-wooing too as I type.!

Watched another episode of Master Chef the Professionals, poor Tom didn't make it sadly, all the sea food in cream sauce looked yummy.

Just going to take a tour of the site and pop on over the forums to see which book has been selected for our Winter Read.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Only five weeks to go before my third granddaughter is born, my son has been decorating the nursery, new furniture and they have decided to go with the theme of Cecily Mary Barker's fairy's for the mural frieze.

Re:
Blackbird's Avatar How I wish I had owls outside my windows- just city noises here.

You all must be so excited with the new baby's arrival drawing close- I remember those days of wondering and planning. The flower fairies sound charming for the nursery frieze- I've always thought that some of their outfits were very fetching. And very accurate to the plants themselves.

I've been tidying up around here- shredding documents and raking leaves. My daughter called for a ride home after she left her car at the shop for an oil change and we went out to a late lunch. She chose a cozy Vietnamese cafe with aubergine colored walls- excellent food and a welcome respite from our cold, grey afternoon.

I'm wondering what our next book will be too, although I haven't done a great job of finishing the last one and joining in the conversation. I do like reading books that are outside my normal interest range- well, I just love reading.

Sweet dreams, owls and larks.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar There are owls at the Mill, which screech. But here no owls - or even WOL's. Except in the book of course. Presumably there must have been a Mrs WOL - for WOL himself must have emerged at some point from an egg. Strange to think of Owls as chicks, all green and literally wet behind the ears.

I wonder why Christmas decorations (and those at Easter too) favour chickens over owls? It would be more logical to put an owl into a tree. Can you make an owl, Camilla?

Camilla's Avatar Thank you BB, yes very exciting about new baby, it's about time though for my son, he's just tuned 40.! know he will be a brill dad though, loves kids.

Haha Fennie, the pic above is gingham geese, not a chick.... although must say the goose hardly resembles a chick.

Here is a gingham owl Fennie, just for you.SmileSmile
