Cowart's Common Room
Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

Minus 13.5 outside my back door last night and we live in a sheltered valley and the thermometer is well sheltered! Water pipe frozen but thawed with nightlights by M thank God so I could have my morning cuppa! Minus 15 in Brecon Beacons yesterday!
Plus side? Beautiful sunshine, hoar frost, deep white snow.................
What is it like with you?

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar I spoke to my brother who lives a few miles away from Brecon, well up the side of the Black Mountains. He could still make it home yesterday, with a 4 wheel drive Subaru. He did not know his temperature because his thermometer is broken but it was -17C at Sennybridge last night, and he is much higher.

Re:
Mountainear's Avatar Brrr! Only -6 here but it feels much colder.

Looks very pretty but it does slow everything down - lugging water up to the hens and creeping along the lanes.

Re:
Pimsonthelawn's Avatar -5.5 here in Manchester overnight. Mountainear so glad you have posted re -6, was going to PM you to ask how cold it had been there, worried about house no heating on there but did turn off the water inside last time I was over, think I could be a high as you are on Long Mountain.

Re:
Frances's Avatar You all really do have winter arriving early.

We New York City softies could still manage today without gloves in the midday sunshine.

Still, your photos are much more beautifully romantic.
