Cowart's Common Room
Snow

Very nearly doubled our snow over night and we had more than enough already Evil or Very Mad It blew a bit as it fell too, so there is some drifting. Temperature was -5.5C, 1/2 a degree centigrade colder than the night before. More snow all over the country I gather, though I think we will continue to take the brunt of it. Daughter gets back to Gatwick from Fuortaventura (Sp?) today and they then have to drive to Chichester (Selsay), so I will be relieved when I hear they are home.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar We had mostly huge hail storms last night and thunder and lightning along with it Shocked
Quite a rare phenominominom I gather.
Now we have about 5 to 8cm of frozen hail but it's now snowing on and off too.
Him Outdoors was has spent the last two days trying to help with a seal transfer (a sick baby one) between the Thurso and Dundee Seal hospitals but they keep having to pospone it due to the weatherSad

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar I have been out with my camera -

I put my car at the front gate because the yard and back drive can become impossible.

The village green is sparkling and the way out has been ploughed.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Wee seal is OK just very cramped as the Thurso hospital is full to the gunnels as it's grey seal pupping season.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar You have much snow there Withy, what magnificent pics you have posted.

It's a winter wonderland here with snow too, about 4 inches of it. Know how much we worry about our children and family for travelling in bad weather, my daughter is on night shifts at the hospital at the moment.

Lovely pic FN, so hope the little Seal will be alright.

xx
