Cowart's Common Room

Why do I bother making them?
Am just back from Lochgilphead A&E where B was amblyanced in earlier this evening with heart 'issues'. Not an attack thank goodness but pain where pain shouldn't be. Following administering lots of drugs all seems to have settled down but they are keeping him in and we will see what the morning brings.
Rather suspect that what I got planned for this week ain't going to be happening quite the way I thought it was. Rolling Eyes

Frances's Avatar Kate, I know what you mean about the folly of making plans. Maybe I need to just make a general set of goals, without any priorities or time lines attached.

I so hope that B will soon be back home, and you will be able to keep to some of your plans for this week.

Ivy's Avatar Poor you poor B hope he is well this morning. About plans I do believe it was John Lennon who said : "Life is what happens to you while you're busy making other plans"

Hope things get back to "normal service" during the next couple of days xxxx

Fennie's Avatar Fingers crossed, Kate. But a plan is just a plan, it's not a set of marching orders. Good luck, big hug and best wishes.

CalicoKate's Avatar Thank you all. Re plans - I know and I'm being a little selfish they aren't imovable by any means. Sometimes our lives can seem so formless and unstructured that occasionally having a timetable for a week is very comforting.

I have called the hospital this morning and he had a good rest of the night - probably better than me as the Morphine would have sent him happily to sleep!
They are waiting to hear what the Cardiac bod in Glasgow is going to say once he has looked at the MRI scan B had done a fortnight ago. As it wasn't an attack they think the pain was caused by the stenosis of the aortic valve which has calcified because of his renal problems. This is what we are waiting to hear about whether he can have it replaced or not. Guess we might be hearing a little bit sooner than later!

Twiglet's Avatar Every cloud ...... maybe they will move faster on what needs to be done now Kate. Best wishes to B and a big hug to you too. x

CalicoKate's Avatar Thank you everyone. They let him out and home again at lunchtime. But if there is anymore pain he is to go back in immediately. We are going to see the Renal Drs tomorrow anyway and although originally I wasn't going I am now! As I really don't think he should be driving! He looks a bit 'wabbit' and went to sleep this afternoon, having a short dialysis session this eve and hopefully after an unbroken nights sleep he'll be feeling better in the morning.
Twiglet I am really hoping that this is what will happen and I think sooner rather than later is what is needed.
