Cowart's Common Room
Bit of a catch up

Was doing some catching up. and returned to my last post on Mme Check, or Our Garden Fox. She is alive and well, and fascinated by the ramp the builders have temporarily put in place to gain access into the new extension. The other night I looked out the window of the door, recently installed, and there she was sitting serenely looking down the garden at another fox who was sniffing around. I half expect to find her cooking the turkey at Christmas in the range.

Tiggy, in response to your comment, Gleann na gCaorach is the glen of the sheep, but I'll bet there were plenty of foxes in the glen back in the day to enjoy a morsel of mutton or two!

We have cleared a lot more gorse in the garden to facilitate the build, but it hasn't lessened our fox visits, if anything there seems to be more of them, with Mme Check sitting royally at certain points surveying her kingdom, or do I mean empire? I suspect that I am being given a hint that she is well aware that there is a new kitchen and she has chosen her spot to receive all food donations. Crafty girl!Twisted Evil
