Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Hello Owls.!

Good to be back on the perch with you, thank you soo much Frances and Bear for getting that landing perch going these last two nights.

Hope you are enjoying the weekend despite any bad weather, lovely mild autumn day on Saturday here, no rain and pleased to say those severe winds have blown away too.

Have just made a cuppa, perhaps there might be other owls landing here later.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Camilla's Avatar Think dear Westerwitch must have gone to land of nod, night night Westerwitch.

Hello Tiggy.!

Pleased to hear you are back home safely, I was worried about the problems that occured at one of those airports the day you were due to come home.

Re:
Tiggywinkle's Avatar Hi Camilla,In the middle of tidying up my office area and desk- a job that is long overdue and I'm at it most of the day. Thought I'd have a little break. Had a lot of drama with Tiggger this week. He is on 4 grams of Amoxillan a day, as I discovered the strep infection showed up in his blood, and that was a worry. His face swelled up and he had a lot of stomach pain. Thought he might have to go into hospital again, but opted to nurse him at home. The Neurology team rang me to say he also has Carpel Tunnel syndrome in his right hand. It never ends, but while feeling rotten he is in good spirits.
The weather is pretty grim with the place covered in leaves. Have my gardener coming in to do a big clean up tomorrow, as I just don't have a minute.

Re:
Tiggywinkle's Avatar Camilla, I am so glad I wasn't flying Quantas, but I think they have the problem under control. There was also a bomb scare at Adu Dhabi a few days before I landed there. I'm tempted to make a hot choc, but won't, as I want to keep my weight in check. Palomina is so minimalistic, I feel very cluttered since I came home, and think I will do a decluttering. Want to have my wardrobes gutted and re fitted to utilize the space. Hoping to have my painter in to paint the hall stairs and landings, and some ceilings. Will have to do a lot of eMarketing for the B&B as after 2 bad years,, I need to replenish the coffers.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Hi Tiggy,

So very sorry to hear about Tigger, poor man, do hope that he can get some relief to ease the median nerve. Carpel Tunnel Syndrome is terribly painful too, perhaps cold compress or ice-pack wrapped in a towel may help, but not directly onto the skin as this can damage the skin. I know some GP's prescribe corticosteroid tabs to treat this. Know you are doing wonderful nursing at home for your dear husband, you are such an amazing lady Tiggy.

Having your gardener do the gardens will help a lot for you Tiggy, especially when you are having an anxious time at the moment. My gardens are a tad neglected too, going to ring my gardener on Monday to see if he can come and cut back the Bhudlia Tree and tidy up the gardens before winter sets in.

xx

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Tiggy, yes, think it was the Quantas Airline that was seriously worrying at the time... I thought of you immmediately. Heck, bomb scare before you arrived there, thank God you are safe and that no one else was hurt.

I love hot choc too Tiggy, out of it at the moment, but I have raided the choc box of white belgian, love those. My daughter is just the same being a minimalistic, so too my son, I am completely the opposite, nic-nacs, books and paintings everywhere.! Son was supposed to arrive this weekend but he is in the middle of decorating same as you too at the moment Tiggy.

Hope all goes well with the B&B Tiggy,do you have any guests at the moment?

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Tiggy, has Tigger got a splint on at the moment, know these can help a little to ease the pain.

Re:
Frances's Avatar I may have to quote Victor Melrose (was that the name) in saying, "I cannot believe it!"

I thought that I was landing on the owl perch early enough to share it with you wonderful owls, but see that I have missed both Tiggy and Camilla.

Perhaps Bear will turn up later.

Tiggy, you continue to amaze me with your abilities and resiliance. Bravo, dear lady!

Camilla, I wish that we could have shared some of our absolutely beautiful NYC weather with you. After having some chilly days recently, we returned to sweater weather today. Really lovely. Good for business, too!

Sitting down to supper now. I will check back in later to see if any owls are circling. xo
