It's getting very blustery here - what's it like everywhere else?

Re:
Mountainear's Avatar Wild and then some. Very worried about our 2 old beech trees which are at the end of their lives anyway.

Re:
Salle de Bain's Avatar We've already had a little of the after effects of Hurricane Tomas and today we are again battening down the hatches.

The trees look very much like the one in your picture. Lots of twigs and branches lying on the lawn now, and not a leaf left on any of the trees!

Re:
Ivy's Avatar Thanks for the weather you lovely Scots. The weatherman told us today the storm is coming from Scotland and I happen to know a witch with a purple cauldron so I have a pretty good idea where it is coming from....
Hubby flew to London today and his plane was 1hr 15 mins late because of the storm . Here it was still calm but the flight must have been pretty tough...

Re:
Pimsonthelawn's Avatar We've had a lot of rain overnight the roads are flooded, but not that windy, the north west is set to get 80mph tonight, hope it calms down for the weekend I am going on a hedge laying course!

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Very windy here. Everything rattling. Even found a small leaf in my ear, blown in by the wind. All that energy going to waste!

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar You are right about all that energy going to waste, Fennie. The wind turbines shut down when it gets as strong as this Rolling Eyes

Having been fairly calm since mid-morning with showers, it is now building up into a real gale again here.

Re:
Arosebyanyothername's Avatar Blowing here too. The wind is moving the branches so much that the security light keeps coming on. We have to go out tonight too - I would much rather curl up on the sofa with Rufus and a box of chocs a good book.

Re:
Tiggywinkle's Avatar Horrible weather here in Dublin. Pouring rain and stormy, with high tides. Risk of flooding again in certain parts of the Country. I want to go back to Australia.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Ahh, it seems that you all have caught our toss from across the pond. Keep your hats on.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Love the colourings to this little painting Mags, went out into the garden today and found that my new little birdhouse which stands about 4ft tall had blown over, luckily still in one piece and not broken.
