Cowart's Common Room
Morning all!

Uploaded Image

Anyone for a steaming hot bowl of porridge with banana and honey? It's about the only thing that'll heat me up this morning. Same miserable weather I'm afraid. Hope everyone is well, dry and warm. I really didn' want to get out of bed this morning! Only had about 2 hours sleep with one thing and another. Confused Off to get a cup of coffee and try to wake up. Be back later. ArrowArrow

Re:
Faith's Avatar I eat porridge practically every morning, summer or winter - but no added milk, and def not banana, probably blueberries or strawberries or whatever is in.

Re:
CalicoKate's Avatar Def no bananas here or honey - though I like the two just not together and not on porridge. Love porridge - add cold milk and crunchy brown sugar every time!

Re:
CalicoKate's Avatar That interesting spelling of chainge - chaing isn't anything to do with me, my fingers have a mind of their own!

Re:
Dancing Dog's Avatar I also eat porridge nearly every day, unless it's 80 deg out. Vanilla soy milk and brown sugar for me. I find it is the only breakfast that fills me up and lets me get from breakfast to lunch with no snacks in between.

Do you make your porridge with milk or water? I used to make it with milk but trying to cut back on calories have gone over to water. Then of course I pour lashings of vanilla soy milk all over it so the calories climb back up.

Re:
Preseli Mags's Avatar I've just had my lunch but I'd still eat all of that porridge. Rolling Eyes I love porridge! Windy, cold and occasionally sunny here today. I hope you get a better night's sleep tonight.

Re:
Salle de Bain's Avatar Love porridge for breakfast...especially if it's got Golden Syrup on it (naughty naughty....cover your ears all you Dukan dietersTwisted Evil)

Used to like writing things on the top of the porridge with said sugary syrup. Foul day here, so cold...porridge would have been just the ticket...but we are out of itRolling Eyes.

Re:
Resewnsally's Avatar Thanks all, bit of a stressful time.
I make mine with half milk and half water. My gran used to make it with fresh milk, as in, straight from the cow, very tasty! Not so good if you're on a diet though!! I could happily have any combo of fruit in it. Not syrup though, a little too sweet for me. A little drizzle of honey is perfect.

Re:
Angel's Avatar Yes please.

And I can eat that, no problems. Surprised

I've never done the banana/syrup in porridge. How yummy.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Love Porridge, my Grandma's always used to make it for breakfast too. I love Banana's but sadly they give me migraine, so I have mine with lots of Honey.
