Cowart's Common Room
How You Look

A few of us have been doing the BRILLIANT Dukan diet in the I Want To Lose Weight forum . . . and it got me thinking . . . I feel having lost a few excess pounds that I look great and I feel great. But we are very often told that it is not how you look that matters it is how you feel. And I agree . . . however isn't it also true that how you look very often reflects how you feel and I now feel that how I look reflects how I feel inside . . . whereas when I was overweight I felt my external look was completely at odds with how I felt and this made me feel incongruent . . . and unhappy . . .

So what do you think . . .

And if anyone would like to join us in the diet . . . and personally I can't praise it enough . . .the book takes you through four stages through rapid weight loss, then slower and then over the next two stages seeks to re-introduce you to eat in a way that will stabilise your metabolism and ensure that you don't re-bound back into being overweight again. . . then please do join us over in the forum . . . and thank you to Kitty as Milla said for starting this thread.

Re:
Milla's Avatar yup, another convert here, and thanks to WW, Kitty (for original strand), Patsy (for mentioning it), Tiggy for common sense and everyone else who is going through it, too, like Rosie. Anyone who has a bit of a tum to lose could lose a stone and a half by Christmas. That's what I lost in 7 weeks. And, yes, feel so much better and getting lots of nice compliments. Mind, I'd crept up to being a porker before!

Re:
Fennie's Avatar A stone and a half by Christmas - even I'd buy that! But does it involve leeks?

Re:
Arosebyanyothername's Avatar I'm back home now and I'd just like to add my bit to the above. I have lost around 9lbs, although the last three days travelling and eating on the hoof and in hotels will have set me back a bit I shall resume normal service as soon as possible. It will be easier here too as I can get more of the things I like eating and just up the road too. Will report progress as and when as I have about 10lbs more to lose.
