Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Hello Owls,

Well I have just edited the owl post and for some reason all disappeared into the ether.!

Second time lucky..... it has been raining off and on for most of the day yesterday, and as I type there is a fierce wind blowing outside.

Shipping News.!

Daisy seems to be quite lethargic of late, maybe it is to do with the changing season.

Have made a cuppa and just going to take a tour, see you later owls.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar On seeing Kirsty Alsopps programme on crafting just recently with crocheting, I am quite tempted to have a go..... not so easy as it looks though.

Hello Frances, hope you have enjoyed a relaxing day from work.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Good evening to you, Camilla. We had a beautiful autumn day here.

Once I'd gotten some very much needed house cleaning chores done, I went downtown to our "Chelsea" area in the far west 20's where many galleries are located. I met a friend to see an interesting exhibit by an abstract artist, Thomas Nozkowski. The pictures were very good, and just about the entire show was sold out!

We saw some other shows, and then had a great lunch in a favorite little restaurant and got all caught up on various stuff.

Got home mid-afternoon, in time to do a few more errands, and found a very reasonably priced, very comfortable pair of shoes that might soon become my everyday shoes of choice for work. Keeping my feet comfy is essental while at work.

And...on that topic, I will soon sign out, because I have an early start tomorrow. It will be a 10 plus hour day, so might not get here in time to visit with fellow owls. Hope that I will see you.

Sorry that Daisy is a bit slow. Perhaps she is just contemplating the change of season!

Re:
Camilla's Avatar The china reminds me of when I went to visit my very dear friend last week, her old antique cupboard is stacked full of it and nothing matches which I love.

Frances's Avatar Oh Camilla, meant to say that I really like the pictures you posted tonight.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Think that you would enjoy crocheting ... it goes pretty quickly, so you can see results promptly. If you don't like the way the project is going, it's easy to pull it out and start anew. Crocheting does eat up yarn more quickly than knitting.

Have you every looked at the www.ravelry.com web site? It is like going down the rabbit hole in Alice in Wonderland ... so much to see, so many paths to travel. Lots of fun.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Good Evening Frances, thank you.

A lovely autumn day in NY, and a visit to the art gallery too with friend how wonderful. I will have to check out that artist Frances.

New shoes.!! know those shoes will be practical and look good at the same time, and most importantly that they are comfy too as you say Frances, those pretty feet do have to endure lots of walking. 10 hour day is very long Frances, hoping that at least you get a decent lunch-break.

I have learned Frances on that craft programme that one can use any sort of yarn or thread even coloured string. The ravelry website sounds intriguing, must take a look later, thanks Frances.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Camilla, it is still relatively early for owls, so I do hope that some of our other buddies will turn up.

However, I will have to fly off to nod now.

Hoping to see you tomorrow. xo
