Pic of the Day

Pic taken in my late Father's garden at the end of August, a last bit of summer colour. My mother will soon be moving house and we will no longer be able to visit this beautiful place.

Tiggywinkle's Avatar They remind me of my Mum too Aa. Lovely Autumn combination of colour with the brown leaves. Must look up the name of this variety. Strangely enough, I have never grown Dahlias, but will give them a bash next year.

Jane's Avatar That dahlia looks suspiciously like the Bishop of Llanduff to me - am I right - it has a dark red foliage - beautiful plant

Sorry Jane I have no idea... Dad knew every name and was bi-lingual in horticultural terms = in Latin too!

Jane's Avatar Actually on reflection I think I have spelt it wrong - it is The Bishop of Llandaff
