Cowart's Common Room
RIP Tony Curtis

Uploaded Image

Sad to hear of Tony Curtis's passing today at the age of 85. Some Like it Hot is my favourite film of all time. Such a brilliant performance from him. I'm sure he was great in other movies too, but it's that one that I love best.

Re:
Puffin's Avatar I join you all in being sad about Tony Curtis passing.

I loved him in Houdini too with Debbie Renolds.

We seem to be losing so many of the great Actor's.
Not to leave the Lady's out.
Great write up on the To Day Show net work from N.Y.

Re:
Angel's Avatar My favourite film of him too Mags. I loved him in that with Marilyn.

You know, thinking of some of the 'greats' - Tony Curtis, Paul Newman, Marilyn, Debbie Reynolds I can't help wondering whether our present day actors and actresses will ever be the same legends when they die. I doubt it. Except Colin Firth, of course.

xx

Cait's Avatar Yes I always remember a neighbour of mine, a young teenager when I was a child, having a crush on him.
