An Autumn Gift from the Garden

I really like dahlias, chrysanths & asters - I grow & plant out loads of them. This is just one of the reasons autumn is a great season.

Preseli Mags's Avatar So beautiful. I love Dahlias but mine always get destroyed by slugs so I didn't grow them this year. Lovely to see the pictures of yours.

Re:
Tiggywinkle's Avatar They are beautiful and have such a good flowering season. My mother had 2 magnificent beds, but strangely enoughI have never grown them, but plan to do so next year as there are so many pretty varieties. Lovely photos.

Re:
Salle de Bain's Avatar Fantabulous colour! Would love to try some next year. Do they need a lot of care?

I love 'Bishop of Landaff' and last week at a friends garden I saw one with very dark blackish leaves and bright citrus yellow flowers....it was stunning...no idea what it was called thoughRolling Eyes. perhaps someone knows?

Re:
Jaynebeth's Avatar The only care I give mine is occassional spraying of aphid spray to getb rid of black fly - otherwise they're a great plant whcih responds well to little attention!

Re:
What a lovely garden, Jaynebeth! Than you for sharing the pictures.

In our part of "the colony across the pond," everything is pretty much dead and shrivelled up after a week of below-freezing temperatures at night.
