Jaynebeth's Avatar Yep, the Stroud valleys are just burning off their early morning mist - I'm sure now I'm at work it will become gloriously sunny and summer-like. Unfortunately when I go home the rain will be on it's way!

Must go for a decent lunchtime walk to make the most of it.

Fennie's Avatar I will certainly enjoy it. Weather here in France has been brilliant these last few days. Just right not too hot, not too cold and plenty of sun. But is this really the last day of summer? If so when was the first day of summer? Doesn't autumn start on 1 September and finish on 30 November? With summer beginning on 1 June. Otherwise you have to have summer beginning on midsummer day!

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar No, not till the end of October.

We are going to the beach this afternoon - so it is still summer!

Frances's Avatar Have you all seen that beautiful full moon the past couple of nights? Wow!

Salle de Bain's Avatar Well sorry to buck the trend but it's raining felines and canines here!

Yes lovely moon Frances...also been lots of great sunrise opportunities during the autumn equinox.

Fennie's Avatar No moon in France, at least not in the night time. Maybe Sherlock Holmes could take a look!

Inthemud's Avatar Moon was bright and almost full last night here.

We're now entering the Autumn equinnox. Changes occur around 21st of month each 1/4. So yes, 21 June is first day of summer, though weather people seem to talk about 1 June and 1 sept as beginning and end of summer, not absolutley correct though!
