Who got the Gold Star?

See the end of last week's homework to see who got the Gold Star for best homework, and the Green Star for my personal favourite homework.

The new homework topic is also up - or will be very soon! - and you have until Tuesday 28th to complete it as I off on hols this Wed for a week.

I had a super weekend in the lovely little town of Bishops Castle, and met Mountainear, quite by surprise. She spotted me on my husband's steam engine in the parade - and may have a photo!

Re:
Mountainear's Avatar Glad you enjoyed Bishop's Castle - it is a lovely town even when the Michaelmas Fair isn't on.

Sorry we didn't get to the 'Timber Yard' for the ride on the steam engine - rain threatened, we needed to let dog's out and after a day trudging up BC's means streets we just ran out of....steam. Perhaps another day if your mighty machine is still in Whitchurch.

I'll check through my photos again and maybe post one of the steam engines in general - I don't think I shot the one of you on the engine after all. Damn.

Re:
Faith's Avatar That's ok Mountainear. The doggies must come first, and we assumed that's what had happened. The engine is pretty dirty too, there's nothing to hold on to it seems that is not covered with oil or coal, and I wouldnt have wanted you to regret the ride!

I'll see what my shots of the engines are like and see what I can put up.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Can't imagine you on a traction engine, Faith! Still they are fabulous things. The farmer who had the farm next door to us used to collect them in the 1950s before they were fashionable and he held races with other farmers.
