Westerwitch's Avatar Oooo Ivy so sorry to hear that you have just lost your job . . . but good for you for standing up for your right. Did that when I worked for a TV company and in the end had to sue them for constructive dismissal . . . will you be able to fight your employers for your job back, or for compensation?

Westerwitch's Avatar Oh Ivy I am so very sorry. Are you still on talking terms with your Father , or has this rift in the business world affected your family ties with him.

Tiggywinkle's Avatar Bad timing on my part Ivy. So sorry to hear you have lost your job. I do hope it can be resolved. Maybe your dad is just in a funk. Family situations are always more sensitive. I've come unstuck a few times in my life, and did stand alone, but I've also seen the worm turn eventually, which is very encouraging. In 2 situations I lost a lot of money, but my character is in tact and is much more important to me, as it is the only thing in life we have control over, and the people concerned didn't benefit in the end, and guilty because they knew I was right. hope things work out for you. Life is such a b**** at times.

Ivy's Avatar I am keeping a low profile towards my parents ( as usual its my mother who is pulling the strings behind the scene) maybe he will cool down maybe not I have given him until tomorrow evening to think it over. I know I could have shut up but the barrel was full and the last drop brought it to the overflow. Trouble is my daughter who is 900kms away now takes the blame on her. It isn't her fault but she doesn't believe me.

Camilla's Avatar Thanks Tiggy, yep, I have stood up a lot more, for what good it will do me, difficult though when the other party at times completely takes no notice.

So sorry to hear that Ivy, don't forget we are here for you, yes as dear Tiggy has said, life is just not fair sometimes.

Big Hugs for you.
