...when you are watching the weather forecast tonight!

You know...the green island to the left of the chart....the one with the big grey clouds over itRolling Eyes. It's been torrential, and the wind is mean at the moment.

Had to hunt out my waterproofs today for the first time in months...

How's your weather?

Dear Esmerelda takes it all in her stride...but just look at my Duchy runner beans...my pride and joyLaughing. They are about to be launched into orbit methinks.

Re:
Arosebyanyothername's Avatar It is 9.22pm here in the Auvergne (8.22pm in the UK) and we have just left our friends in the gite who cooked us a barbecue outside. The weather is warm and dry although rain is forecast.
We were watching a hummingbird moth flit from flower to flower in the gloaming. It was about 4inches long. Amazing! Lovely evening.

Re
Silverhead's Avatar Had a lovely walk today along a coastal path just north of Stonehaven.
The sun shone all day and the sky was completely blue.
There was a bracing wind and there were beautiful white horses on the sea.
It was an incredible day. I even got all my bedding dry and am sitting down now with it all ironed and back on the bed.

BUT----it has to RAIN tomorrow.

Re:
Frances's Avatar New York was absolutely beautiful today, and also for Saturday and Sunday. Perhaps our hurricane Earl is now sending rain your way.

Would it help if I let you know that today was a national holiday, Labor Day, akin to your bank holidays ... and I had to spend it indoors at the shop?

Re:
Well after the driest year ever we have had 5 1/2 inches of rain in 4 weeks and yesterday was mighty blowy, it even blew out the rayburn.
We are ordering more waterproofs to keep us going through the autumn.

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Same here torrential rain and very windy. Not complaining though as we have had a glorious summer.
