Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Hello Owls,

How the weather changes so, much colder here on Friday and have lit the woodburner for the first time since early in the year, but there is something very comforting about snuggling round the fireside with snuggly blanket and plump cushions.

I had the most strangest phone call on Thursday evening..... 'Hello, oh Camilla, is that you'? 'Yes, I replied, it is, hello who is speaking'?......'Sheila Fisher', er, um, 'sorry don't know a Sheila Fisher'.!BlinkSmile How very strange.!

Whatever your plans are for the weekend, have a great one.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Hello Silverhead, lovely to see you on the perch with us, how is Jack?

Daisy is fine but has a slight limp on and off, can run like the clappers but seems to appear for no reason sometimes. Shall be taking her to Vet next week to have it checked out, she is snoozing on the sofa at the moment in front of the fire.

Re
Silverhead's Avatar Maybe too early again tonight. Maybe just as well as I've been reading that sitting up surfing the net till the early hours can cause brain damageRolling EyesRolling Eyes.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Silverhead, I usually get more sleepy lately at night, off into a dream like the title to the pic above.

Yes, lovely to see Bear back with us, think Frances is working another long shift at the shop tonight.

Re
Silverhead's Avatar Good to know you are there. I've been on dog walking duty this week for my daughter's Lab. I had forgotten how lovely it is to have a dog as a companion. Ours has been dead for a number of years and husband won't consider another as he says the dog will outlive us and no one will want an old dog.

Re
Silverhead's Avatar You may have read that we were at a flower show today. Those exhibition flowers are so exotic and perfect but I think I like my own willy nilly garden just as it is.

re
Silverhead's Avatar Lordy, I can't get to grips with this having a conversation on the computer. We seem to be answering each others previous message, and having just had a lovely glass of red wine,I'm not quite sure where I am. Still it makes me laugh.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Oh Silverhead, I am soo sorry, feel awful nowEmbarassed there is a lovely kind cooer like you I know on the site who has a dog named Jack, it's not our lovely Jane as know her dog is fine.

It is very upsetting when our pets go, I adore animals and I get ill for months when they go to doggy heaven. The Labs are lovely Silverhead, your daughter's doggie will hopefully bring comfort to you, although know how sad you must be in losing your dog.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar It is wonderful to be able to chat on line here with you and with all friends across the globe, ah, the age of technology. We are so lucky to be with Purplecoo, an amazing site indeed, just wish I had more time to enjoy more during daylight hours, and I have not blogged for ages.!

Had two large glasses of red after evening meal earlier on, anymore and I would be under the table.!Smile

Re
Silverhead's Avatar Camilla hope I haven't made you feel bad. Our dog was very old and sik when she died but I have many friends with pets and get a great deal of joy from them though it's not like having a regular companion.

Re
Silverhead's Avatar Isn't that glass of wine in the evening such a joy. I don't know how our parents managed without. Alcohol was always a special occasion thing when I was young. Now it's such a lovely wind down pleasure.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar No don't worry Silverhead, who could it be that has little doggie with same name I wonder. I agree, pets are so theraputic and lovely to be with. Have you thought about maybe getting an older cat that needs new home?

Silverhead's Avatar It's been lovely "speaking" to you. I'm so glad I caught you but I really must turn in now. We are having friend over tomorrow evening and I must be up early to prepare their meal and clean up the house after a grandchildren visit this afternoon.

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Did you watch the programme last year on telly with James May(from Top Gear), and Ozzie Clark(wine connoisier). They travelled different parts of the world together to do some tasting of wines, really it was to teach May on what his wine tastebuds were like. You might be able to see it on iPlayer on the internet Silverhead, just google it.
