Arosebyanyothername's Avatar Think positively. Time for yourself now. Take up some new interest and look forward to the times when your children return to stay for a while and all the new experiences you can share with them.
Mind you, when they do return they still dump their stuff everywhere and expect to have meals dished up and their laundry done! Bless them!

I remember when my son went away to uni, I was very sad, but liked the idea of not having that huge laundry basket dumped in front of me when he was at home.Smile

Westerwitch's Avatar Just think that you have given your daughter the confidence and skills to live her own life. She will have a fabulous life at Uni and although you will miss her - of course you will - like her you have your own life to lead. So celebrate her independence and celebrate yours too and look forward to her visits.

Patsy's Avatar I think that children who feel they have a strong home base are better equipped to go out and face the world as your daughter has so confidently done.
Vic, you can be proud of the way you have raised your daughter. Very Happy
