Cowart's Common Room
Books to read

Are any of you familiar with the books of Lilian Jackson Braun? She is/was an American writer, well-known for her light-hearted series of "The Cat Who..." mystery novels. The books feature a journalist, Jim Qwilleran (yes, no 'u') and his two siamese cats, Koko and Yum Yum who have sleuthing skills. They are frivoulous but engaging especially if listened to on audio narrated by George Guidell.

Yesterday, I bought Le Chat Qui Inspectait le Sous-Sol at Maurs market for 3. In French, of course. So far, with the aid of a dictionary I have read two pages. Well, it beats dieting anyway.

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Look forward to reading it on a wet afternoon at the Mill! I hope there isn't one called 'Le Chat et le Tapis-Volant'

Re:
CalicoKate's Avatar I like these for some no nonsensical lightness! 'George Guidell' narrates them so I listen to them too. Not sure I would enjoy them in French though!!
