Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Hello Owls,

I have been watching the tennis, see that Murray is through, so too Nadel and Federer. It will be interesting to see who is going to win the finals next week. I am sure there will be lots of people watching that soccer match too later today with England playing.

Son has returned back home to London, busy time for him soon as he and his partner are shortly to be moving house, fingers crossed all goes well for them.

Have my cuppa and just going to take a tour, see you later owls.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

RE
Camilla's Avatar Hello Silverhead,.!

You are up late, lovely to see you on the perch. It is going to be 30 degrees later today, that is hot for me.!

Re
Silverhead's Avatar I've just come home after an evening out with husband's relatives. After 47 years I still find it very daunting and have sat down with my PC to settle my thoughts down before I retire for the night.

Posted by: Silverhead on 27th Jun 2010 at 01:17AM

RE
Camilla's Avatar Good to hear you had a great day on your anniversary and had lovely meal out.

Re
Silverhead's Avatar Lovely to "speak" to you. Hope you are well and free from these awful migraines.

RE
Camilla's Avatar Hope you enjoyed the evening out with your hubby's relatives Silverhead.

I still can hardly believe I have made it to the 40 years, just wish I knew what lay round the corner on that said day.!

Re
Silverhead's Avatar It's been one of these weeks when we've been out for meals both lunch and supper. The previous week I never saw a soul and sat in a forlorn heap thinking no one loved me. Now I just want to curl up in a ball and stay home with the door locked.
Isn't it funny how life is just like that!!

Posted by: Silverhead on 27th Jun 2010 at 01:21AM

RE
Camilla's Avatar Aw, thank you kindly Silverhead, likewise.

No more migraines recently, think perhaps hayfever does not help too, pollen is quite high at the moment.

Hope Jack is alright, am sure he enjoyed his walkies today.

Re
Silverhead's Avatar I don't have a great time with my inlaws. We meet four times a year and it's a bit of an ordeal. I drink too much and talk too much.

you sound as if you are feeling a bit low. Are problems rearing their ugly head again?
I thought things had become a bit calmer.

Hello Rob Bear

Hello, Owls.

"When shall we three met again?" Oops that's "The Scotish Play." Best keep clear of that.

RE
Camilla's Avatar Oh so sorry to hear that Silverhead, big hugs for you. Know what you mean though.......my son has just returned home to London, shall miss his company I now feel a tad deflated and HL goes to bed sooo early.

Please don't think no one loves you Silverhead, we are all here for you, think that some days are a tad darker than others, it may be the changing of the moon perhaps.

Re:
Silverhead's Avatar I hope the weather is improving there in Canada. We are having an unusually warm and sunny spell in Scotland and most of us are hoping it will last for a while.

Re:
Sorry you day has been less than optimum, Silverhead. There's family, and then there's the family you choose for yourself (i.e., your freinds). Hope you have some good experiences, with one or other of your families.

Re:
Weather here, well, . . . it's raining, again. If quack that counts quack for quack anything.

Apparently some rioting on the streets of Toronto, where the G20 is raging (or, rather, meeting). Leaders fiddle while world burns.

RE
Camilla's Avatar Still here Silverhead, it is not my 20th anniversary, I have just reached my 40th anniversary last April, and guess what, my HL forgot. Did get to have a lovely meal out with my children though.

Slightly calmer Silverhead, although not perfect.!

I loved my MIL, although I never saw eye to eye with my FIL.

Hello Bear.!

Ah, true wit.!

Re
Silverhead's Avatar You are there Camilla. lovely.
it's my middle son's birthday next week, and he fell out with his dad nearly two years ago and won't have anything to do with us. Now with his birthday approaching I'm getting prepared for another birthday without him. My heart is broken and I have no idea how to break the impasse. So i go to bed and weep. Sorry for this. You have so many problems of your own it's not fair to burden you with mine. But you always sound as though you have a loving heart.

Posted by: Silverhead on 27th Jun 2010 at 01:38AM

Re
Silverhead's Avatar I'm beginning to get maudling again and I try so hard not to burden anyone with this. It must be the extra wi.ne . Sorry

Re:
Her Ladyship, Miss Sadie, has been out playing in the rain. She wanted me to come out, too. Uh, no, your Ladyship, not tonight, thank you.

Posted by: Rob-bear on 27th Jun 2010 at 01:42AM

RE
Camilla's Avatar Hope the weather remains good for you in Scotland Silverhead, I love the sun the only problem is does not like me.

More rain in Canada, not good.......... hope it does not last Bear. Much worry for that rioting in Toronto, re G20.

Re:
Your friends, Silverhead, are the family you get to cry with, if that's what's called for.

Posted by: Rob-bear on 27th Jun 2010 at 01:43AM

Re:
We've had a bit of sun in the last couple of days. But it was supposed to rain all day and all night. Now I fear it will rain much of tomorrow.

Will have to get back to the telly and see what's happening in Toronto. I grew up there; place hasn't been the same since I left. I feel like I'm a bit of a refugee, now.

Posted by: Rob-bear on 27th Jun 2010 at 01:47AM

Re:
There is such a divide between rich and poor. We're seeing that in the world, and (more and more) here in Canada. The middle class is starting to vanish.

Posted by: Rob-bear on 27th Jun 2010 at 01:49AM

Re
Silverhead's Avatar I'd better close now too because I'm upset and can't really see the screen. Thank you both for "listening" to me. Good night

RE
Camilla's Avatar Dear Silverhead, please don't think you are a burden, you are not a burden at all. Completely understand how you must be missing your son, so wretched for you not to be able to see him. Is there any way that perhaps you could meet up with him without your hubby knowing?

Silverhead, please convey what is worrying you perhaps on the Private Forum, we will be there for you to help you lighten the load from your mind. Great support from all the members here. Wish I was a bit nearer for you in Scotland, we could then have that glass of wine or cuppa together.

Posted by: Camilla on 27th Jun 2010 at 01:51AM

Re:
I'd have a glass with you, Silverhead, but we're all out of wine. And our virtual wine is nothing to write home about. Sad

Re:
Camilla's Avatar Miss Sadie is playing in the rain, Poodles love the water.

When I worked in London one the Director's of the Company left and went to live in Toronto.

Re:
Before I forget, more terrible news, Camiia.

I found Max, finally, about 10:00 a.m. Max had been carried, then dragged away from school, and badly battered or mauled.

I contacted the local constabulary. They came, viewed, and said this was going to be a tough case. Apparently a Detective Superintendent Jane Tennison is coming up from Scotland Yard to help with the case. I'll tell you more when I know more.

So many things going on.

RE
Camilla's Avatar SurprisedShocked Cerikey.............. we have a criminal investigation on board, poor Max, where are the JRT's? Good that Bear was on the case, just in case you need that important number again it's, whitehall 1212 for Scotland Yard.

Posted by: Camilla on 27th Jun 2010 at 02:04AM

RE
Camilla's Avatar A warm fluffy towel for Miss Sadie after all that rain, make sure she does not get you wet when she comes in and shakes all of her fur, this is what Daisy does although she loathes getting wet.

Sleep well Bear, see you tomorrow.

Lovely to see you here, hope the sales are continuing to go well. Just going to make another cuppa before lamps out later, back in a jiffy.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Hello to you owls ... so much owl talk already. Sorry to have missed Silverhead. Will send her a pm.

Sitting down to ... what else, pasta supper. However ... great addition tonight, a fine chianti, one of the gifts presented to me by the staff today. Only a few days before my transfer.

What's all this about Max? Jane Tennison is a fictional character. Maybe that makes her the proper detective to sleuth out Max?

Off to bed now Frances, sorry I could not stay longer on the perch with you.

Shall be thinking of you on that date Frances, for new post, sure your customers will miss you too.
