Cowart's Common Room

Today is Saturday, May 29, 2010.

A bit of excitement around midnight. Got a call from the security company, saying there had been a potential break-in at our daughter's place, and the police had been dispatched. But they needed someone with a key to the house to go over so they could check things out. Fortunately, there proved to be nothing out of place! My biggest challenge to calm down her two dogs (floor mops on legs). That being accomplished, I reset the alarm, locked up the house, and came home. So, even when they're all grown up, fathers are still useful for some things. Wink

Yes, it was an alarming start to the day.

Rained all yesterday; supposed to rain all today. And maybe tomorrow. Might even have been the wet weather that set off the alarm. Electricity and water do not mix terribly well.

It's going on 1:00 ayem, so I'm going back to bed.

English breakfast tea in the pot. Oatmeal biscuits in the tins, some plain, some with sultanas, some with chocolate chips.

Hope you have a grand day!

Westerwitch's Avatar Phew glad it wasn't a break in - but a bit alarming for you.

You seem to be getting an awful lot of rain.
