Cowart's Common Room
Swarm of honey bees

I heard the most amazing noise coming from next door's garden just now. I had an idea what it was, so went around with my camera. Lo and behold, A swarm of honey bees had coned onto the side of their outbuilding. I phoned a beekeeper friend, who I used to work the Christmas show's alongside. (He was at Ludlow Christmas Market in December, that we met at with Woozle, ladies), and he's on his way around this evening to collect them.

Re:
Mr. Woozle's Avatar They were living in next door's chimney, Cait. The Bee Keeper told me that the Queen is still in the chimney withhsome unhatched bees, (and a few that got left behing by the Bee Keeper), and this swarm is with a new queen, taking the nest elsewhere. The old nest will recover in time. You learn something new every day!

Re:
Angel's Avatar Gosh look at that. Great to see, especially with recent talk of the declining honey bee population.

Re:
Dancing Dog's Avatar How amazing, I think I'd have been a little scared though, I'm not fond of buzzing things . Are there people living next door? I definitely wouldn't have wanted an entire swarm of bees living in my chimney.
