Cowart's Common Room

Good Evening Owls,!

So sorry I could not be with you on the perch last night,......... severe migraine, an early night though seemed to have done the trick. Thank you kindly Frances for putting up the owl post for us.

The weather has been very warm here in Norfolk and looks like it will last for the weekend too, hope the sun is shining across the pond near you too.

Have my cuppa, just going to take a tour before lamps out later.

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Camilla's Avatar Hello Bear.!

Good to see you on the perch, hope you are feeling much better tonight.

Sorry you've been feeling poorly, Camilla. Do hope you're truly better, and that the weekend will be wonderful for you. (Having your family with you does seem to lift your spirits.)

Ground around the Bears' place was temporarily white this afternoon. Not snow — hailExclamation With all the hot, humid weather we've been having, and the prediction of afternoon thunderstorms, I shouldn't have been surprised. But Environment Canada was, apparently; people there didn't put out a weather warning. Not that it would have done much good.

At any rate, the hail that fell ranged from the size of peas to the size of marbles — more of the smaller than the larger. Her Ladyship, Miss Sadie was in the yard checking her domain when the "fun" started. She came charging to the back door when I called her — apparently not amused by the turn of events.

Now, to check our vehicles for damage. Dented bonnet, roof, and boot? I hope notExclamation

Off to Miss Sadie's "manners" lessons in a bit.

I take it from the picture at the top that it's a picture of you snoozing on your now-famous sofa (where you seem to recline regularly).

Glad to have a look at your house. Très chique!

Too bad the others beat a hasty retreat when you appeared. We would have had a lot of fun on the perch if there were more of us.

What we lack in quantity, we'll have to make up for in quality. Right, Camilla — er, um, Chief Owl?

Need to check on a few things before we head off to "manners" class. Also must report on Tiddles.

Camilla's Avatar Thank you Bear, your wit is a true tonic for me, don't need the tonic, Bear's fabulous wit just does it all. You are like a breath of fresh air.

Best of luck with Miss Sadie's classes, perhaps second time around she will be liking it more, hope so. Aw, Sadie must have been scared with all those hail-stones, know Daisy would have been.

Eeek, hope your vehicle does not have any damage to it with all that unfortunate weather of hail-stones.

Camilla's Avatar Where are the owls, send in the owls......Smile

Things are as they should be tonight at skool, with Max, Tiddles and the clock.

I was correct in assuming Tiddles untidy state was the result of some "encounters" with several JRTs. Their owners will be notified; as Chief Minder, I will be filing ASBO applications and apprehending the said JRTs.

Need to be heading off shortly. I anticipate Frances will be along in due course.

Sleep well, good Owls.

Camilla's Avatar Thanks Bear for your top job for tending to the skool with Max, Tiddles and Clock.

Looks like I will be getting that Asbo notification for DaisySmile she has just gone outside for her last wee's for the night, went out in garden to call her, no torch, and she did not come in when I called her, worry worry.........and then she appeared covered in earth, JRT'S love to dig.!

Best of luck with the training classes Bear, think perhaps dear Frances may be on a long shift at the shop tonight.

Sleep Well Bear, night night.

Camilla's Avatar Off to land of nod now, night night Owls, sorry to have missed Frances.

Shall be back on the perch tomorrow night, ooh already tomorrow here, might be late on the perch though, going out for dinner in the evening at local restaurant.

Sweet Dreams.

Frances's Avatar What a great owl landing tonight.

I thought that I might miss you all. Yes, the shop was incredibly busy today. We were realy kept running. And at the end of the day, there are many tasks to complete before locking up.

My co-closer and I got through those tasks as quickly as we could. And here I am, preparing supper I hope to east before 10 pm.

I will need to stay up a bit late after that!

Another late shift for me tomorrow. Hoping to get here in time to share our perch.

Camilla, glad that the dreaded migraine has left. Best wishes to all the arriving loved ones. The garden party will be great fun.

Bear, that hail is just another strange bit of weather in a year with lots of strange weather. No wonder Sadie wanted to take cover. Hoping the manners lessons are fun for all concerned.

Nite, nite. xo
