Cowart's Common Room
Is it too early for an owl landing?

Good evening from New York, where it is still not quite 8 pm. Is it too early for an owl to land?

I had a very early start this morning ... got to the shop before 7:30 am, and helped the company's Visual Merchandising Team set up the new June collection on the sales floor.

This took hours, and continued a bit after the 10 o'clock shop opening hour. After it was all done, lots of photos were taken so that e-mails could be sent to all the other shops round the country showing their staff members how to set up their own June collections.

And then, there were lots of customers, and lots of things to sort out. Long day. Tiring day. Good news was that I got to be able to head home before 4:30, so beat the rush hour commute.

Tired now. Might not stay up too late. What kind of owl am I? (substitute fool for owl.)

Re:
Bear is no Owl tonight. I lay down just before supper, absolutely exhausted; just got up after sleeping for about an hour or so. Sadie had been up on my desk and wrecked a few things. And I've almost missed the Owl post.

Not a good start on the evening/day.

Sounds like you had a very busy day, Frances. Hope you're having a good supper. Or are you finished already? Bear put out Sadie's supper. Now I have to make my own.

Then I have to write a newspaper column, which is due tomorrow morning, and isn't even started.

Re:
A quick check at skool shows Max is doing well, and the clock is out for the night. I'm going to have to spend more time with Tiddles.

Everything happens at once. Evil or Very Mad

I'll try to get back in a bit.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Enjoy your dinner, Bear. Sorry about Sadie getting way too involved in the office.

Also sorry to miss dear Camilla. However, I really am beat, and am going to log off, try to read a bit more of the AS Byatt book I've got out of the library, and then ... it's going to be lights out, for along sleep.

Another long day tomorrow, but not such an early start. That means I will be a late arrival on the perch.

Nite, nite.

Re:
Blackbird's Avatar It's good to see you here Puffin- I've been wondering how you're doing. Good luck on your test tomorrow.

Rob-bear, you sound like a procrastinator like me but there's nothing like a deadline to get work done.

And Frances, I'm glad that you're off to bed after a day like yours. I have the Children's Hour at home too and I'm saving it for a quiet time so I can concentrate on it- it does sound a little silly to say that. Let me know how you like it, please.

Sorry to miss you Camilla- it just isn't the same without you and your beautiful pictures.

Sweet dreams fellow owls.

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Fabulous that your shop gets used as a sort of flagship Frances - but I guess the extra work is not so fabulous.

Good to see you Puffin - good luck with the test.

I hope our Camilla is ok - I wonder if her vertigo is playing up again.
