Cowart's Common Room
I CAN'T SLEEP CHAT POST

Good Evening Owls,

Another lovely warm day here, although the nights do get ever so chilly so good woodburner is lit.

Hope your day has gone well, just realised that it is bank holiday weekend again next weekend.

Shall be off to bed of dreams early tonight........ how can Owls go to bed early.!Smile going to take Daisy for her grooming session at Posh Pets..... do those gals at grooming salon know that my JRT is no way posh.! well maybe Daisy likes to think so. I am a tad worried as she has never been before, nails clipped, bath, slight trim of long fur. I shall though tells the gals that muzzle might be needed, wish me luck.!

If you can't sleep and there are others on line then have a natter here.

Night Night, & Sweet Dreams.

Camilla's Avatar Sorry to have missed the owls, look forward to catching up with you tomorrow, by my clock next day has already arrived.

Also going to visit my very dear friend in hospital after leaving Daisy at grooming parlour for a couple of hours, friend has had major surgery but thankfully she is recovering very well indeed, I shall be taking some lovely flowers for her, and her favourite.......... chocolate & ginger chocs.

Nighty Nighty, and sweet dreams.

Re:
Most peculiar. I didn't know, Camilla, that they let dogs drive cars in Britain. "Fancy that, eh?" (says the colonial Bear).

Re:
Understand the dilemma: you don;t think Daisy is posh, but Daisy does.

We have a similar situation here. In truth, Sadie is only a dog. True, she's a Standard Poodle, but she's still a god, er, um, I mean dog. (She's not watching, so I can say that.) But when we go out in public, people practically fall all over themselves (and each other) trying to get close enough to pet her. And the groomer loves poodles, so Sadie really is treated like royalty when she goes in. So you can see why Sadie would begin to think of herself as Her Ladyship, Miss Sadie Rolling Eyes For his part, Bear simply shakes his head and wonders how all this happened.

I hope Daisy has a grand time being pampered at Posh Pets. Just don't let her start putting on airs when she gets out of the shop.

Also hope your friend is recovering nicely.

Re:
Good grief ExclamationExclamation I just noticed that Camilla had her woodburner on.

In the land of Bear, high of 29C (or 84F). We don't need the gas stove on; we need to be turning on the air conditioner, and cooling off. These are the days when Her Ladyship retreats to the basement and lies on the cement floor (coldest part of the house). Mr. Green

I'm off to check on "the Crew" over at the skool. I'll be back in a bit. ArrowArrowArrow

Well, um, no Owls. This is another catastrophe in the makingExclamation

Max is fine. The clock is out getting it's moonglow. Tiddles, well, . . . I forgot to bring my diagnostic tools, so I'm still not sure what's been bothering her. She appears to be fine, after being well groomed by Max.

Tomorrow, I have yet another ethics meeting, this time at the University. All afternoon, it appears. The documentation for the meeting runs to 58 pages, and I'm just getting into it. May be a long night for this Bear. I do want to be prepared for this, because I was involved in a number of the key items, but haven't see the reported outcome of our work. Neutral

Seems I missed Camilla and Frances, both. It's a Bear's life. Sad

Sleep well, good Owls. Exclamation

Re:
Frances's Avatar Oh, I am so sad to have missed Camilla and Bear.

That photo of JRT at the controls of a motor vehicle made me smile ... as long as that vehicle is on the other side of the pond! Good thing that the JRT was not also texting!

Camilla, I know that Daisy will charm them at PP, and your friend will so welcome your visit and the choc/ginger.

Bear, these ethics meetings of yours really do intrigue me. I wish that I had time to really send more messages back and forth with you. Sometimes, I feel that the rather superficial chat I do all day re clothes just rusts my mind. Ooops, I should not have written that. Well, I did. Anyway.

Hoping that another owl might yet land, and keep me company for an hour or so.

I worked for over 11 hours today. Still don't feel totally exhausted. Not bad for a senior citizen.

Puffin's Avatar Ohh,Logging in for the second time.My message just wiped out.
My Teddy loves the Groomers,Great relaxing bath and every one calls him 'fluffy' long hair-only a snip taken off each visit.
Puffin is lonely on her perch, but shouldn't be with Purple Coo,always here.
Sweet dreams for all the Owl's who fly in later.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Hello Puffin. Great to have you here while I am still awake...and still having supper.

I send those sweet dreams wishes back to you.

When I read about my fellow owl's pups, young and not so young, I just love to hear about their various personalities, and so wish I were in a place and time to have that experience myself.

Best wishes to all owls and their pups! xo
