Cowart's Common Room

Today is Friday, May 14, 2010.

We missed Friday the 13th by one day. Those of you with paraskevidekatriaphobia can relax. (For Gordon Brown, Friday the 13th came last week.)

Bear is eagerly awaiting a review of Fennie's production of The Little Prince. Truth be told, an adaptation thereof. Fennie could help by giving us a link to the review in The Guardian or Daily Telegraph.

We're starting to see flowers along the riverbank trail. That's a positive sign. Two weeks after snow. Yesterday, temperature was up to 23C in the land of the Bear. Talk about changeable weather. Confused

Orange Pekoe tea this morning with date squares. So, you have a "date" for tea this morning. Rolling Eyes If date squares are not to your liking, we have some chocolate-covered digestives left over from yesterday, though the macaroons have vanished. Fancy that. Wink

Hope you have a grand day.

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar Good morning, indeed. Well, better than last night, anyway. It has stopped raining. The three boys staying in the gite have dispersed into the forest. All is quiet.
Date squares sound great - even after a bowl of meusli. But the tea is cold, Bear - and who has eaten my porridge? - oh! sorry wrong script.
Talking of scripts, I too, am waiting to hear about the Little Prince. I don't think the National papers have got onto it yet - perhaps the gutter press? Sorry Fennie.

Withy Brook's Avatar I think I will stick with my Lapsang Suchong, thank you Bear, and I would like one of the left-over chocolate digestives, please.
How I would love to have some of your heat. We got to 13 C yesterday, the warmest this year, I think. At least the East wind has gone and it is in the SW. And what does that mean? - rain, though I have to admit the farmers and gardeners need it.
