Pic of the day

After the day of sleet and hail storms we had yesterday it's a lovely sunny day here so I thought this would be more apropriate than the dramatic but rather forboding landscape I was going to post.
Hava a happy sunny day CooersVery Happy

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Thank you FN - look at that sky . . . love the leaf too. When did you take the picture - not this year - the leaf is too big!

Re:
Looks rather like a Maple Leaf from Canada. Any idea what it is, really?

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar A sycamore leaf? Ours are only just coming out.

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar I must admit this was a few years ago with the film(remember that stuff?) camera and yes it's a sycamore as far as I know.
It just seemed cheerier than this one...

Re:
Tiggywinkle's Avatar Oh, I was wrong. Like Bear I thought it was Acer Brilliantisimum, which prompted me to nip out into the garden and take a few photos, as it is just changing colours again. I love this little tree. Hope you don't mind be posting them on your post for Bear. I love the foreboding sky in your second picture. There is a lovely feeling of mystery about it. Thank you FN

Re:
Fairy Nuff's Avatar Lovely Acer Tiggy, we have a small burgandy one in a pot on the front step...one day we'll get rid of the couch gass and plant it in the garden.

Dancing Dog's Avatar What a fantastic photo the second one is. I don't find it forboding at all. Whenever I see the sun's rays shining down through the clouds I always get a shiver down my spine. Absolutely beautiful.
