Cowart's Common Room
Amateur Photographer

I think it was Am Photographer or maybe just Photographer, but anyway, it has a lovely copy of our WW's famous WINNING chaffinch photo, with the lichen very blue and picking out the colours in the bird - it's wonderful WW! I felt like grabbing the next person in the shop and saying 'I know her you know!!!!!'Laughing

Preseli Mags's Avatar How exciting! That's a good excuse for me to get a copy too.

PS: I'm currently saving for a digital SLR if anyone's got any recommendations. At the moment I'm looking at a Canon EOS as I've used the 35mm version in the past (to photograph Her Majesty no less!).

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar It is the Amateur Photographer - I have just checked it online. I don't think I shall be able to get a copy here though.

Arosebyanyothername's Avatar Thanks for the offer, WW, but I shall ask Fennie to get me one. He is coming to visit in a couple of weeks.
Congrats again.

Would like to hear more about those cameras. I'm a fan of 35 mm, and am very disappointed by these "pocket sized" digitals. A PM would be appreciated from someone with knowledge or experience.

Thank you.

Withy Brook's Avatar I am beginning to twitch towards an SLR for taking pictures in my garden. Time I kept my point and shoot for out and about. I shall watch out for tips.
