Cowart's Common Room
If you cannot sleep...yet can log on....

Hello fellow owls.

I do hope that lovely Camilla is somewhere nearby and will soon be bringing us a beautiful picture, or perhaps a video and a song.

Meanwhile, allow me to set up the perch.

I will be back soon, just looking at a few blogs. Just a few! xo

Camilla's Avatar Hello Owls.!

Hello Frances, thank you so much for the owl post, so kind of you.

The weekend for me has just whizzed by.......... even so I have enjoyed my Son being here. We visited my Daughter and family on Sunday too but on the way we had a lucky escape in the car............ heck, it could have been so much worse if my Son had not had his wits about him.!

Hoping that everyone had a lovely weekend.

Camilla's Avatar Have you acquired that new fridge/freezer yet Frances? chose one a few days ago, should be delivered this coming Friday with any luck, as usual, not cheap.

Came out in a rash this evening....... eek, do you think my body is telling me something.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Oh my goodness, Camilla, I am so sorry to hear about your scare on the roadway. Glad that son of yours saved the day.

My fridge story will be complex. I really have no choice about what will be bestowed upon me. It is totally up to the corporation that owns this apartment building, although I may get some sensitivity from the resident manager. If replacing my old fridge would make my rent increase, I will stick with the old fridge, even if the freezer is a bust.

Whatever happens will take time. Perhaps this week I will re-connect with the building manager and the superintendent and see what they have found out about whether I am allowed a "free" replacement, and if said replacement can be found.

Tiny steps.

About that rash ... could easily be a reaction to your scary moment on the road. It's late over there in Norfolk. Perhaps getting some rest is a great idea?

Re:
Puffin's Avatar oHH,Camilla,
so glad you are alright--even a close accident can be so scary.
Other wise your week end was great.
My 'Teddy'bear pup is just tuckered out and snoozing by my side.
Mie Tu 'Peke ' is still acting up.More fussy over food than ever.

RE
Camilla's Avatar Thank you Frances,

A woman driver was stationery at a left side junction as we passed along the main road, we must have been doing 45 miles per hour when all of a sudden she pulled out right in front of us. Son braked but not too hard as to go into a skid, then we had to swerve so as not to hit and crash into her. She was waiting to turn right so she would have had the full impact, phew.!

Yes, rash could be a reaction to that scare Frances as you mention.

Whatever fridge you are placed with, just hope that at least they will take consideration in not increasing your rent Frances.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Hello Puffin,

When are we going to see a picture of this new pup? Guess that your Mie Tu also needs some pampering to help ease the new one into the mix.

Re:
Puffin's Avatar Frances,I surpose there is a certain size of fridge, judging by my Grammie's apt.in N.Y. it had a galley kitchen, not much choice in fridge size, etc.or make.
You need a new one if the freezer is gone,as they won't lower the rent and why should you suffer.Be charming as only you can be,But firm.
Good luck..You work too hard to worry about things like this.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Camilla, that was a close call. Goes to remind us just how sublime a perfectly norman, even boring day can be in comparison.

Thanks for the fridge comments. Hoping that your new fridge will be swell, and do all that a good one should do. And ... be maintenance free!

Sorry, but I will now have to drift off from the perch. I was hoping that I'd be here long enough to see the Bear land.

Nite, nite. xo

RE
Camilla's Avatar Hello Puffin,!

Thank you, lovely to hear about the new pup Teddy, ah, bet he's gorgeous. Hope Mie Tu soon comes round to enjoying having another little doggie about, they do get jealous. Daisy did not like a friend's pup recently coming to the cottage, and Daisy is usually the sweetest dog, she likes to think she is top dog.!

As I type the radio is playing Christmas Carols, so December is on the way.

Re:
Puffin's Avatar Hi Frances,
I haven't been able to send photo's to Coo,the one before this was much easier, but when I get Bob to download some in our computer,I will ask C.H.,As she is so good at it.
All I can say now is he seems to be already growing and is adorable.
Mie Tu is still mourning Tigger,as are we,but they say with dogs it takes longer and she only wants her life long 'Dad'
No, he was a Carne, but he raised her when our older Peke, acted very much like she is now.
He is so cute trying to be friends and wants to play with her too.,but he knows when to back off.
