Cowart's Common Room
How quick is that?

Still incredibly nervous and sick with it all, but the phone has been red hot this morning! My PET scan is all booked for tomorrow morning at 10am in London, Alliance Medical Centre and I've been told it last 3 hours! Then a swift journey to get to the Brompton for my 2.30pm meeting with the oncologists and surgeon. It looks like surgery is the way they want to go - subject to the PET scan showing I am clear everywhere else (fingers crossed), otherwise it will be the usual chemo/radio treatment. Wow. The NHS is being amazing. Glad I haven't got that much time to think about it - that's the worst bit, waiting around, but now feel a bit sick with anticipation.

Not sure if they will keep me in or not, so am taking a bag 'just in case'......

Thanks for all the lovely messages of support. Much love, C.x

Woozle1967's Avatar Just been on their web site and the actual scan is up to an hour (thanks goodness - find it hard to lie still!) and it's all the rest of the gubbins that takes the rest of the time!

Ivy's Avatar I don't think you will be kept in if all goes well but last time 's experience showed you better bring your toothbrush and nighty. Will be thinking of you tomorrow.
But i was told it's not half as scary as it sounds by a person who never took anything stronger than aspirin and Arnika
