Cowart's Common Room
What no Bruce?

So poor old Brucie has 'flu and has been advised on Doctors' orders not to appear on "Strictly Come Dancing" tomorrow night. Tess is taking over his role and I guess someone else will chat to contestants etc.
Just a thought - if you had to choose a stand in for Brucie, who would it be?

Re:
Withy Brook's Avatar Brucie is a great entertainer /dancer etc of about 82. People either love him or hate him. I love him - Toady hates him!
G said 'oh lor, if he has flu he'll probably never be seen again' Would suit you Toady? Laughing
Whoever were to take over would need to be a good dancer, in my opinion. And a man - I am NOT being racist!

Twiglet's Avatar You beat me to it Withy!
Hi Rob-bear
Good question! He is the compare to our version of the celebrity dance programme - "Strictly Come Dancing". He is Bruce Forsyth - a tv celebrity for about 50 years. He is 81 and is still a sprightly song and dance man. I know lots don't appreciate his attempt at humour but come on - if I can be as nimble, bright and smart as him at 81 then I shall be happy!!
I suppose that in the big picture he isn't very important, Bear, but just an ordinary man who has made a difference, in just a small way.

Re:
Snailbeachshepherdess's Avatar John Major Laughing Anton Du Beke thinks he will get the job eventually - you have to give it to BF he is a great advert for fitness at 81 but his horrible jokes make me cringe
