Cowart's Common Room
Being Forgetful

I once saw a programme that explained all about what happens to your short term memory and why we get forgetful when we get older. Really enjoyed the programme - it explained such alot and made memory loss less scary.

I woke up the next day and couldn't remember a thing that the programme had said Shocked And to this day I still can't remember it!

So what have you forgotten recently . . . or is that a really daft question?

COFFEE AND CAKE anyone - can't remember what the cake is . . .

Re:
Fennie's Avatar Won't be long now before you'll be able to get a cortex transplant. Titanium hinges will allow the skull to be hinged and you'll be able to slot in a new wedge of cortex and a few stem cells to make the connections. Then your memory will be fine for another 40 years. Er...what am I supposed to be writing about? You do know that chocolate cake is bad for the memory? That was why the Aztecs invented it. To keep the population quiet and forgetful and why there have never been any memorable Belgians - all that chocolate, you see. The only Belgians to have succeeded where the ones who didn't live in Belgium - like Poirot - though I suppose he didn't really live anywhere.
Cadbury's now is a memorable firm. They make chocolate and built villages for their employees. They are now the subject of a hostile takeover bid from Kraft. Apropos of which did you know that all the really great brands of chocolate where all invented in about three years around 1936 - Fry's Chocolate Cream, Dairy Milk, Black magic, Mars bars, KitKat - all the great names and brands - really - in about three years.

Now I know why my memory is going - it isn't age at all!
Unfortunately, by the time they perfect the implant, I may well not be here to benefit - and it alone will not give me the 40 years to enjoy it Shocked

Re:
Ivy's Avatar Fennie are you serious? I work over a cocoa store and when they are emptying containers covering each and all in cocoa dust ( no it does not smell like chocolate more like feet that have been in a pair of wellies all day !) does that men they are attacking my memory?
