Here Comes The Rain Again

Here comes the rain again
Falling on my head like a memory
Falling on my head like a new emotion

Thank you Annie Lennox - yes it's raining here in Gloucestershire. One of the really consistent things about the home county is it really rains well.

We have our delicate gentle misty 'lift your face to the heavens for a refreshing wash' and also the ever popular 'walk out the door and get your underwear washed while you wear it' downpour.

The scene in Forrest Gump where he's in Vietnam and the rain comes from every direction - even down? that was probably filmed in Gloucestershire!

Not to worry anyway - today's rain is just a preview of tomorrow's forecast - that's supposed to be proper rain!.

Re:
Ivy's Avatar Some things never change. When I was at school in Gloucestershire my Germany friend and I used to get our selves deliberately drenched In summer. Not that it never rains in Germany but English rain has a different quality.

RE
Camilla's Avatar I don't mind the rain, love walking in it but not if it is extremely heavy downpour. We have heavy rain here this evening.

Loved that film Forest Gump, such a brilliant actor.

Re:
Frances's Avatar Taking a risky step here. I do not like Tom Hanks' acting and did not want to see Forest Gump.

Moving on. I so like the Eurythmics, and saw them (in the rain) perform that tune at the old Forest Hills Tennis Stadium. That used to be a wonderful venue for concerts, when it wasn't in use for the US Tennis Open championships. Time has moved on, and the Open is played in huge series of stadiums.

Getting nostalgic for Forest Hills. I saw Joni Mitchell, Simon and Garfunkle, Arlo Guthrie, Talking Heads, and so many other lovely concerts. Think that Eurythmics show was the last one I saw. It didn't rain much beyond the span of That Song.

Re:
Faith's Avatar I'm not mad on Tom Hank's either Frances, but can't say anything about Forest Gump as havent seen it.

It would rain this weekend as Em and boyf are moving into a new flat - nicer area and nearer meSmile Her beautiful big bed that I bought her has been languishing here waiting for her, while they slept on a futon and it's going to be tricky getting it loaded onto a van if pouring with rain. Ho hum

Re:
Westerwitch's Avatar Rian was made so that we could write songs about it and put it in films. Remember Blade Runner - it poured throughout the whole fim . . .

Love Annie Lennox - we have a TV series running this week to find the Greatest Scot and she is one of the people's choice.
