Fennie's Avatar Late again - just finished this week's article for EUobserver. Any tea going? I'll pass on the cakes. Terribly quiet here workwise. And November usually our busiest month.

Re:
I am trying to be good and do some chores today, its too horrid to go out far.

I have just finished preparing tonight's dinner, and the cottage is now full of the aroma of red wine and garlic, as a beef stew simmers gently on the range. Makes me hungry!

I cant remember when I last ate a doughnut. As a child we used to get ring doughnuts with a very light sugar glaze on them, they were heavenly. Cant recall eating anything like them since as I am not mad keen on all the American type donuts you see in the shops now, Krispy Kreme, and Dunkin Donuts? UGH!

I LOVE jam doughnuts and I used to make these at home with the kids, we would have them hot with custard for dessert sometimes.

Tiggywinkle's Avatar When our girls were small they used to have a competition of "eat a sugar doughnut without licking your lips" I remember the howls of laughter, and not an easy thing to do. It was great fun for a party.
