Lily's Avatar It must be hot and not very comfortable, but she won't give up!

LOL, typical cat -

I just got home from the quacks to find one sitting on the bread board, 2 on the washing pile, and one in the washing basket. The other 2 made a bee line for the bonnet of my car as soon as I pulled up!

Sneaky critters!

The tiles look familiar? Winchester Tiles?

Lily's Avatar Not sure about the tiles, just chose something plain in the hope that they wouldn't date too quickly and I wouldn't get tired of them.
The other cat has snuggled into my fleece which is waiting to be put away tidily- yes real opportunists.

Preseli Mags's Avatar Gorgeous! Will she move before she starts to singe? I once found a cat in the bread basket (on top of the bread). Rolling Eyes

Withy Brook's Avatar Not quite as burning hot as on the other side! A happy cat!
We have those tiles too.

Westerwitch's Avatar The tiles and the cat and what we can see of the range - range envy here look great.

When I was much younger and living in a flat - only heating a two bar electric fire . . . my cat tried to cuddle up to the fire and set its tail on fire . . . the cat was fine . . . I burned my hand when I grabbed the tail to smother the fire Blink

Angel's Avatar I'm coming back as a cat.
Or a man.

I found the photo of the cat in the bread basket (I didn't say the basket was big enough for the cat did I?). We could have a thread on this: Cats in unusual places. I can also give you: Cat stuck in clothes airer; cat in tumble dryer; cat in parcel; cat in newspaper; cat being ironed (cool setting); and cat in bathroom wash basin. What is it with cats?!

Lily's Avatar Don't know about clean tiles, thinkit was more to do with the flash and also editing out a big greasy mark.Smile

Frances's Avatar Never had a cat, even as a child, but that doesn't stop me from enjoying these photos and comments.

Have to admit that I really liked Angel's the best!

Camilla's Avatar Lovely pictures of Cats, I adore them but my Daisy is not good with Cats, I used to have three Cats at one time.

Daisy my JRT likes to sit right on top of the marble hearth in front of the fire, quite worrying as I am sure one day she will catch her fur alight, have to keep an eye on her, she loves the warmth of the fireside.

Patsy's Avatar Sorry to be a spoilsport but cats on food preparation areas? Shocked
After walking through their litter tray, licking their bottoms and spreading saliva all over their fur, they lie down where you prepare your family's food...sorry but that's gross.
Now it's probably true that your average person interested in country matters (the demographic for this forum) is more health conscious than most so you will all have heard of toxoplasmosis, cryptospirodiosis, salmonella, bartonellosis etc carried by even healthy cats.
Most zoonotic diseases pose minimal threat; however, some among you may be particularly at risk. Those with immature or weakened immune systems, such as infants, individuals with AIDS, the elderly, and people undergoing cancer therapy, are more susceptible to zoonotic infections than others.
Please be careful..

Kitten sits on the oven door when I leave it open, turned on low, cold mornings trying to warm up the house as there is no working furnace. Rolling Eyes

Lily's Avatar I don't prep food on the range- when it gets to the range it is in something-casserole, saucepan etc. stirring implements are placed on a saucer not directly on the enamel. Also, when cooking the range is too hot for the cat.
Cats are wormed regularly.
There is no contact whatsoever between cat and food

Preseli Mags's Avatar The bread in the bread basket was destined for the hens. The hens' bread basket was not used at the table (in the picture it's next to a box of Denkavit, lamb milk replacer in the utility room - not a food preparation area). I don't allow animals or their feeding bowls in my kitchen at all.
